Simple - if you're not mature enough to have a vocabulary that can use something other than swearing, then go somewhere else! Amen!!!

RE: Rust stains on my coach

Acid will remove rust. Try vinegar. It's mild enough to not cause any harm.

RE: AT&T Air Card

Verizon has much better coverage. Compare the area coverage of both ATT & VZ. VZ just started a month-to-month plan in case you didn't want to sign a 1 or 2 year contract. No. Don't work for VZ nor own any stock.

RE: Overnight Stop Pensacola to Tallahassee

All Florida rest areas have armed security at night. A safe place to get some sleep in spite of the "no overnight parking" signs. It will be you, 10 more RV's, 20 trucks & some cars. We do it often.

RE: Recaulking Roof on 2007 Jayco 26L

Use EternaBond on all the seams/joints. Do it once and you're finished for the rest of the time you'll own the RV. Eternabond

RE: Hard water on exterior of camper

If it's orange in color it's likely iron. Acid will remove it. Try a little vinegar on a spot and see if that works. 1 cup vinegar mixed with 3 cups of water. You'll smell like Italian Dressing when you're done, but it should work.

RE: Lincoln City, OR KOA

The only time I stay at a KOA is if the space next to the dumpster at Flying J is already occupied. :B

RE: Verizon No-Contract, Month-to-Month EVDO data service

I think it's a good idea because it gives customers choices as opposed to a one-size-fits-all approach. If you only need the higher speed internet access perhaps 2 or 3 months a year, the month-to-month plan might be a good choice for you. We travel about 10 months a year so the 2 year contract is a good choice for us. I like having choices. Ed

RE: Wife does the backing!!!

I do all the parking unassisted. My wife can't walk. I just get out now & then to take a good look all around and up and down. The fact is the driver has the ultimate responsibility for everything that happens. Don't blame your helper if you do something dump like back into a tree limb, run over the neighbors dog, or whatever. It really irritates me to see some jerk yelling at his wife because he, the driver, doesn't know what the hell he's doing.

RE: Gas Stations open on Christmas

40, 25 & 10 will have dozens of open stations. All your truck stops for instance.

RE: New to TT's~ Opinions on vans as TV's

Vans are a nice TV. As you know, they come in the same weight categories as pickups. I.e. E-150/1500, 250/2500, 350/3500. The thing I like is all the fully enclosed storage vs the open bed of a truck plus lots of seating if you need lots of seating. Arctic Fox makes a good 4 season TT. So does KZ. Two good brands.

RE: I-95 South Carolina/North Carolina Border

If you don't like the rest area idea, here is another choice. Pedros RV Park South of the Border Total Tourist Ripoff joint

RE: I-95 South Carolina/North Carolina Border

The NC rest area. You, a dozen other RV's, 20 cars & 50 trucks will be getting a little shut-eye. Done it time & again. Not a problem in spite of what the signs say.

RE: CoachNet Big Surprise

If you have to pay for parts and labor, what are the benefits of having an ERS? Isn't this realy towing insurance? Lets say you have a blowout. Do you expect the ERS will buy you a new tire? If you can't start your engine because the battery is dead, do you expect them to jump start you or buy you a new battery?? Suppose the fan belt breaks, who pays for the new belt? You or the ERS? The service call does not include any required parts. That's your nickel.
